“Faceless, NOT NAMELESS”
It is easy to ignore the plight and predicament of others when they are faceless nameless masses.
Numbers and statistics don’t have a story or struggle that resonates with us, that tugs at our hearts. These last few weeks there has been an interesting frequency of natural disasters; if you weren’t directly affected, its easy to just brush aside the suffering, fear and hopelessness in the lives of the survivors. When they are faceless and nameless its convienient to forget, so give them a name. Give them a check (donate) if you can, if you can’t give a prayer, do something!
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
Matthew 25:34-36 NLT
