The Dilapidated Parts

This spavined school in the back lands of Ibadan, produced one of my dearest friends and an intelligent pharmacist who lives in TN. Looking at it now, reminds me of how a heart that once waxed strong for the faith can wane. It’s hard to imagine that out of the our dark despondencies, God can create beauty. We often hide our shame and hurts from friends and family because we know they will disapprove or judge us and We do the same with our heavenly Father. God isn’t like that, He already knows us in our primordial state and yet offers a hand to restore us back on the path of purpose. Where we would look at this domicile with disgust and turn away, God would see it’s potential and send a Potentate. When we would write off a person as having nothing to offer, God would breath inspiration into them and cause them to author a masterpiece. Isn’t that what makes this life so interesting? You just never know what He will do with a situation, or how a disappointment will develop into deliverance. Give him your dilapidated parts, your dark vices, destructive impulses, hopeless situations and your trust and see what He does with your life. You may very well be like this building- a diamond in the rough.

Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
